Chatter Creek trail is in good shape, with only a little brush here and there. No snow on the trail to deal with (a little bit of flat snow before Lake Edna). Ladies Pass to Frosty Pass is a little eroded in some places, but otherwise in good shape. There was a tiny bit of snow left on the trail down to Lake Mary. I'd expect this to be gone in a week at most, but it was no issue anyway. For people interested in Snowgrass: there is a photo in the Flickr album of the remaining snow on the east slope. Seems that it's holding a bit more snow still. Heading west from Frosty Pass there is initially an amazingly good trail, but after a while it becomes a bootpath. There is a bootpath all the way up the ridge and down to the swamp east of Doelle Lakes, so if you're not on a bootpath, you lost it. In the meadow/swamp up to Doelle Lake the bootpath is not entirely obvious. Just a bit up slope from the meadow the main bootpath crosses over to the south of the creek. The trail is virtually snow-free around Doelle and Chain Lakes (one small patch that you can avoid). The trail down from Chain Lakes to the Icicle River is in good condition. Icicle Creek Trail is in good shape except for the towering brush around the various creeks. It's about 7-8 feet high in some places.
